Didi Menendez hit upon a couple of ideas that I really like. Actually, it’s one idea with two faces, but sometimes that’s how ideas look. The two faces are the men and women of poetry.
She’s actually calling her two blogs Men of the Web and Women of the Web. Each blog post highlights a different poet and includes photos and interviews. I like what she’s doing. The interviews are interesting.
Here’s a sampling of the poetic men she’s highlighted so far:
- William Allegrezza
- Travis Catsull
- Jim Zola
- Paul Hoover
- David Dodd Lee
- Sam Rasnake
- C. Dale Young
- Charles Jensen
- Nicholas Manning
- Peter Conners
And the women:
- Maria Mazziotti Gillan
- Danielle Pafunda
- PJ Nights
- Jenni Russell
- Jen Tynes
- Carly Sachs
- Kaya Oakes
- Anne Boyer
- Amy King
- Liz Bradfield
- Patty Paine
- Cheryl Townsend
- Meghan Punschke
- Grace Cavalieri
Remember, this is just a sampling. I’m looking forward to reading about the great poets Didi finds on the Web.

Hello – thank you for posting this. The real backbone of these profiles is not that they are poets but poetry publishers and editors.
Thanks again,
Didi
Thanks for clarifying that Didi. I love poetry publishers.
